Maintenance Engineer

AJN Steelstock Ltd are looking for a keen, hardworking individual to fulfill the role of a Maintenance Engineer on the night shift. The right candidate would have good mechanical experience and electrical skills with hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.

Hours: Night shift: (8 hours per shift) either Monday \- Friday (22:00 – 06:00\).

*This includes a 30 minute paid break and the possibility of occasional weekend work.*

*\*\*Approx two weeks training that will take place on the day shift \& weekends\*\**

Duties include:

• Performing preventative maintenance routines and condition monitoring of production machinery and facilities as per the inspection schedules. Maintaining accurate records of findings and works carried out.


• Liaising closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and operations staff in all aspects to ensure efficient, effective and planned reactive maintenance at all times.


• Making safety inspections of tools and equipment


• Diagnosing faults and repairing machines in a safe manner to minimise downtime and cost.


• Anticipating machine failures and making such changes or recommendations to prevent re\-occurrence and to minimise downtime.


• Working to improve reliability and productivity of equipment.


• Completing written records of all maintenance activities


• Carrying out maintenance tasks diligently and in good time using appropriate methodology


• Being proactive in identifying and carrying out potential machine upgrades to improve lifespan, efficiency, productivity or safety of the machine and communicating these to the management team for consideration.


• Attending all training courses as and when required


• Follow all safe systems of work at all times. Identify and report any shortcomings that become apparent whilst undertaking tasks or if the tasks change or new activities are undertaken. Liaise with the HS\&E department to ensure such risks are assessed and procedures amended as necessary.

Pay: Up to £51,000\.00 per year
