Target Catering Equipment is a leading manufacturer and installer of bespoke commercial catering equipment, induction cooking systems, ventilation canopies, fabrication solutions and commercial kitchen projects throughout the UK.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Service \& Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician or service engineer who enjoys a varied role combining manufacturing, installations, fault finding, servicing and product development.
No two days are the same. One day you may be wiring a bespoke induction suite in our workshop, the next commissioning equipment on\-site, fault finding commercial catering equipment or supporting the development of new products.
The Role
As part of our engineering team, you will be responsible for:
Manufacturing \& Product Assembly
- Wiring and testing bespoke commercial catering equipment
- Building electrical control panels and gas interlock systems
- Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical drawings
- Supporting product development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Carrying out electrical testing and quality checks
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on commercial catering equipment
- Servicing induction systems, dishwashers, extraction systems and control panels
- Completing preventative maintenance visits
- Producing clear service reports and recommendations
- Installing and commissioning commercial kitchen equipment
- Modifying and testing electrical systems on\-site
- Issuing Minor Works Certificates where applicable
- Working closely with customers, contractors and project managers
- Completing commissioning records and photographic reports
- Maintaining workshop machinery, tools and testing equipment
- Supporting PAT testing and maintenance schedules
- Assisting with general electrical maintenance of company facilities
- Supporting fabrication and assembly teams where required
Essential
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience
- Strong fault\-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Practical, hands\-on approach with excellent problem\-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commercial catering equipment experience
- Induction cooking equipment experience
- PAT Testing qualification
- Experience issuing Minor Works Certificates
- Fabrication or mechanical assembly experience
- Salary from £30,000 depending on experience
- Company van for work travel
- Electrical testing equipment and hand tools provided
