Hours: 35 hours per week
Sleep\-in\-rate £4,160 per annum based on two sleep\-ins per week

Within Reach is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and motivated Residential Children's and Young Adults Support Workers to join our team in Gloucester. This rewarding role involves providing high\-quality care and support to the people we support living within our residential homes.
What you will be doing
You will work closely with those who may have complex needs, developmental disabilities, behavioural challenges, or additional support requirements, helping to ensure their safety, well\-being, and personal development.

Your Responsibilities
· Provide emotional support and positive behaviour management tailored to each person’s individual needs.
· Support children and young people with daily living activities, promoting independence and confidence.
· Assist with meal preparation and mealtimes, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
· Plan and facilitate engaging activities that encourage social development, life skills, and positive experiences.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing home environment.
· Record care activities, incidents, and progress notes accurately in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
· Support the people we support to attend appointments, education settings, and community activities, while ensuring their safety, well\-being, and supervision at all times.
· Act as a positive role model and advocate for the young people in your care.
What we need from you
· Previous experience within residential childcare, social care, supported living, home and community care, or similar care settings is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
· Experience supporting children or individuals with developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, or additional needs is advantageous.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
· A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to supporting young people.
· A valid UK driving licence is preferred.
· A strong commitment to safeguarding, promoting welfare and always maintaining confidentiality.
· Experience gained through customer\-facing roles, education, youth work, hospitality, retail, coaching or similar people\-focused environments may also be considered.
· Personal caring experience, such as supporting a family member, is also valued.
