As the business continues to expand, we are searching for committed and responsible Mail Order Supervisors to become a part of our future success story.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Core Function

Customer Orders.

  • Picking, scanning, packing and dispatch of customer orders.

  • Booking in stock deliveries and checking any discrepancies.

  • Processing returns and damages

  • Replenishing boxes, tape and various stationary.

  • Delegating workload with other staff members to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Organising stock and bays to ensure the work area is kept clear and hazard free.

  • Organising the overhaul of boxes to be picked up.

  • Reporting to line manager of any issues or requirements in dispatch.

  • Liaising with the other departments to ensure information is updated and edited accurately.

  • Updating supervisor/manager of any issues or product mis\-picks/errors

  • Annual and monthly stock takes, bay checks and returning stock to appropriate departments

  • Investigate stock and respond to any stock discrepancies

  • Bagging mail and processing orders through post and courier services

  • Booking and checking comic delivery

  • Helping and processing deliveries at the warehouse

  • Organising additional courier or post pick\-ups and liaising with them when required.

  • Creating staff rotas and approve with HO

  • Liaise with both he Online Dispatch Manager \& Assistant ODM in regards to holiday/absence and warehouse operations.

  • Report all absences holiday on the HR system and report to both senior management and HR

  • Good communication and handover of information with both HO and the Online Dispatch Manager and Assistant ODM.
Staff Management
  • Ensure all staff in the Department meet high standards of Customer service

  • Review workload, etc. to ensure service standards are maintained in the event of staff shortages, peak periods of business etc.

  • To be actively involved in staff issues \-, development, discipline, appraisals and other activity as advised by the HR Department

  • Adhere to health \& amp; safety standards for the welfare of staff. Maintaining standards of cleanliness within work areas
Stock Management:
  • Weekly checks on all stock levels held by MO and ensuring all overstocks are returned to relevant departments.

  • Communicating with various stores and departments to request and send stock.
Other:
  • To ensure that general standards are met with regards to health and safety standards and meet obligations as identified by the Department management.
Customer Care
  • Proactively develop and maintain the highest standards of customer care in all areas of responsibility.
Relationships
  • Maintain effective communication at all times, ensuring that all information is shared with relevant staff, clients and customers

  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all personnel

  • Provide regular feedback to your line manager ensuring they are advised of all developments and problems in your areas of responsibility

  • Act at all times in the best interest of the business to further good relations
Self Development
  • Conduct a continual review of personal performance, seeking to improve effectiveness both individually and as a team member

  • Assist in the identification of personal training and development needs in relation to your duties and ensure these are fulfilled in line with Departmental Business Objectives

  • Understand and work towards individual, team and business objectives
General
  • You will be working on a five or seven rota, alternating early/late shifts

  • At present the shifts are planned as; earlies 6am\-2pm and lates 2pm\-10pm

  • Shift patterns may be subject to review/change at the discretion of the Company

  • During our peak trading season of November and December, the late shift will start and finish later to allow more flexibility to cope with the additional Christmas traffic

  • · Ensure that health and safety standards are maintained at all times

  • · Advise the Health and Safety Representatives of potential risk areas
