We’re Hiring: Machine Operator

Shift: Mon – Thurs 8:00 – 17:30, Fri 8:00 – 13:00

Hours: 39 per week (breaks unpaid)
Holiday: 20 days \+ 8 Bank Holidays
Reports to: Production Manager

Salary: £25,775\.88 per annum

As demand for our bespoke nutrition solutions continues to grow, we’re strengthening our production team with a skilled and proactive Machine Operator.

What you’ll be doing

As a Machine Operator, you will play an important role in ensuring production lines run efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards

· Setting up and preparing production areas in line with daily production plans

· Operating and monitoring machinery to achieve production targets and minimise waste

· Ensuring machines run efficiently while maintaining product quality standards

· Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required

· Responding quickly to production issues to reduce downtime and maintain workflow

· Carrying out quality checks and ensuring all production paperwork is completed accurately

· Supporting Technicians with machine changeovers, settings, and maintenance tasks

· Stripping down, cleaning, and reassembling machinery as required

· Maintaining high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the production area

· Working collaboratively with Production, Technical, and Quality teams

· Supporting packing and production requirements during each production run

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

✔ Experience in a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment
✔ Hands\-on experience operating production or packaging machinery
✔ Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high\-quality work
✔ Good problem\-solving skills and the ability to react quickly under pressure
✔ Understanding of health \& safety and hygiene procedures within production environments
✔ A proactive, positive, and reliable attitude
✔ The ability to follow procedures accurately and work effectively as part of a team
✔ Good organisational skills and ability to complete documentation accurately
✔ Willingness to learn machine setup, changeovers, and additional technical skills
✔ Flexibility and a strong work ethic to support production requirement
