Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Gym Manager to support overseeing daily operations at our gym along with teaching of classes in the instructor element of this role. The ideal candidate will possess management skills, exceptional organisational abilities, and excellent communication skills with the ability to grow and promote the bu8isiness within the social media platform. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, enhance member satisfaction, and contribute to the growth of our facility. The Gym Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of the gym, maintaining high standards of service, and driving sales and retaining existing clients.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers Delivery exercise and workshops and develop personal exercise plans for individual customer wishing to complete their own workouts.

  • Supervising activities in the gym and operate the equipment in a manner consistent with safe working practices. S

  • Spending quality time in your Fitness area to interact with members to encourage and deliver grant engagement, advice, and technique. Induction training on equipment

  • Working with a team, communicate well with your colleagues.

  • Body Stats – Encouraging clients to get body stats to help with the fitness journey, booking in on team up system and social media posting to engage this element of their fitness journey, this helps withhold

  • Using the teamup booking system to create new customers onto the system, booking them in to the class they enrolled on and creating classes if necessary and any other amendments as needed.

  • Posting on social media to assist with the gym’s retention and progression with membership to enable to the gym to be sustainable.

  • Manage Daily/Monthly safety checks of machinery, cleaning of gym and cleaning of machines.

  • Ensure Staff rota is complete and all shifts are covered.

  • Manage daily operations of the gym, including sta supervision and member engagement reporting to the Commercial Director.

  • Drive member experiences, promotional campaigns and using social media to aid this. Ensure high standards of customer service through e ective communication and phone etiquette.

  • Ensure that monthly \& daily checklist are completed, this includes cleaning.

  • Implement organisational strategies to optimise utilisation of gym facilities and resources reporting this to the Directors.

  • Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, reporting, and social media campaigns.

  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives to attract new members and retain existing clients

  • Conduct regular team meetings to foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement

  • Be as involved in the awareness to create the atmosphere of your community!
Qualifications
  • Level 3 in fitness as minimum. Proven management or supervisory experience within a retail or fitness environment

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams e ectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in any tasks. Social Media experience would be an advantage

Job Types: Full\-time – 40 hours per week with 2 weekend shifts per month

Pay starting at £30000

Pay: From £30,000\.00 per year
