Job description:
TMI Foods is currently recruiting for a Machine Minder on our Night shift on a shift pattern of 21:45\-6:15am Sunday to Thursday.
Job Purpose:
- To ensure and lead the continued performance of all equipment within the area operates to the required standards.
- To produce product in occurrence with the company’s QA guidelines.
- To ensure GMP standards are set and sustained at all times.
- To ensure Health \& Safety policies are adhered to at ALL times.
- To work effectively and constructively with other support functions.
- To build and promote excellent “In House” customer relations.
- To analyse and track SIC data on an hourly and shift basis.
- Generate and lead action plans to improve efficiency and quality losses
- Ability to Inspect and maintain equipment, to run at required efficiency.
- Ability to liaise with other teams effectively to maintain performance.
- Ability to measure and review performance and to carry out improvements.
- Ability to take accountability, ownership and responsibility of self and team performance.
- Ability to self\-manage and work effectively as part of a team
- Good understanding of the manufacturing process specific to the machine and/or area, including efficiency and quality standards.
- Set up and ensure equipment running at optimum performance
- Conduct pre\-start checks and aid fix / report any issues found
- Review daily plan and ensure materials, labour and equipment available to achieve it.
- Conduct handover with appropriate personnel and ensure room is set to required standard.
- Carry out brief with team to ensure effective communication.
- Ensure all paperwork completed to required standards
- Ensure SIC data captured is accurate and reviewed hourly.
- Complete DWOR entries from SIC data captured on an hourly basis.
- Review performance hourly and agree actions with team to improve.
- Ensure machinery runs at optimum performance throughout shift. Identify and rectify/ report any issues found.
- Work safely ensuring you and your colleagues are following the Standard Operating Procedures.
- Coordinate changeovers ensuring each member of the team knows and executes their role effectively.
- Develop action plans with team to improve performance.
- Carry out inspections on equipment to maintain performance.
- Maintain hygiene in the area to required standards.
- Investigate and resolve any quality / safety or production issues identified.
- Responsible for organizing break cover to ensure continued performance.
- Notify Managers of downtime/start up within first 15mins. Detailing, root cause and estimated stoppage time.
- Manage break cover to optimise efficiency. Carry out handover with oncoming personnel.
- Ensure equipment is stripped and cleaned to required standard.
- Carry out briefing/ review with team, identifying actions for following day.
- Complete shift report along with action plans.
- Ensure all engineering requests are entered on system and that all PPM’s have been completed
- Liaise with the production manager regarding production issues. Reviews Productivity and NME Losses Graphs to track performance. Daily.
- Develop improvement plans for area. Weekly.
- Review engineering work list and outstanding actions
- Daily Meetings with TM/PM regarding performance.
