Luxury Watch Sales & Business Development – USA & Europe
Sales \& Business Development – USA \& Europe
Location: Hertford, Hertfordshire, UK
Job Type: Full\-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000–£60,000 per year including commission / OTE
Office\-based role
About the Role
Chrono Hunter is looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Sales \& Business Development professional to help drive our expansion across the USA and Europe.
This is a UK\-based role working from our Hertford office, but with a specific focus on developing international business.
Chrono Hunter already receives significant enquiries from customers across the USA and Europe, and we are now looking for someone to take ownership of converting this existing demand while actively developing our retailer network and presence within these markets.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants more than a traditional sales position. You will have the opportunity to help develop new markets, establish new commercial relationships and play an important role in the next stage of Chrono Hunter's growth.
As these markets develop, there will also be significant scope for the role to progress, including the potential to help build and ultimately lead a larger international sales and business development team.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, sales\-focused individual with a strong interest in luxury watches and horology.
Luxury watch sales experience and/or strong luxury watch industry knowledge is highly desirable.
You should be highly self\-motivated, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership of both sales opportunities and longer\-term business development projects.
The successful candidate will need to be capable of working independently towards individual sales targets and KPIs while collaborating closely with the wider Chrono Hunter team.
You should also be excited by the opportunity to develop something new rather than simply inherit an established sales territory.
What Will You Be Doing?
Your role will combine sales, account development and new business development, with a particular focus on the USA and European markets.
You will manage and broker luxury watch sales and purchases between private customers and professional watch retailers while maintaining the exceptional, professional and personal customer service upon which Chrono Hunter has built its reputation.
Alongside handling inbound opportunities, you will actively help expand our international retailer network and identify new opportunities for Chrono Hunter.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing USA and European private customer buying and selling enquiries.
- Converting existing international enquiries into completed transactions and revenue.
- Communicating with customers via telephone, email, SMS and WhatsApp.
- Clearly communicating the benefits and USPs of the Chrono Hunter service.
- Negotiating and closing transactions between private customers and professional watch retailers.
- Developing relationships with new and existing international retail partners.
- Identifying and targeting reputable luxury watch retailers throughout the USA and Europe.
- Working closely with our Retailer Relationship team to onboard new international partners.
- Researching new cities, regions and countries where Chrono Hunter has an opportunity to grow.
- Building structured prospect lists and maintaining a strong business development pipeline.
- Understanding differences in international markets, including customer expectations, logistics and commercial processes.
- Using current and historical Chrono Hunter data to establish accurate market values and selling prices.
- Evaluating wider market information and comparing it against our internal data.
- Using our CRM and bespoke technology to manage multiple enquiries, opportunities and transactions.
- Maintaining and developing long\-term customer and retailer relationships.
- Continually improving your knowledge of luxury watch brands, models and market trends.
- Working towards achievable sales, revenue and business development targets.
This is a particularly exciting time to join Chrono Hunter's international expansion.
We are already generating meaningful levels of enquiries from overseas customers before having a dedicated international sales function.
The successful candidate will help us turn that existing demand into a structured and scalable international business.
You will help determine which markets present the greatest opportunities, identify the retailers we want to work with and establish relationships with key partners.
As our international business grows, there will be scope to expand the team and create additional positions dedicated to individual markets and territories.
There may also be opportunities for international travel to the USA and Europe to meet existing and prospective retail partners, attend relevant industry events and strengthen commercial relationships.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong sales and business development ability.
- Luxury watch sales experience and/or strong luxury watch industry knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence speaking with customers and businesses over the telephone.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- The ability to build rapport and establish long\-term commercial relationships.
- A high level of resilience and the ability to handle objections effectively.
- Strong self\-motivation, ambition and determination.
- A commercial mindset and desire to identify new opportunities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good self\-management and prioritisation skills.
- Confidence using CRM systems, Microsoft Office and other business technology.
Career Progression
This role offers considerable scope for progression.
Rather than joining an established international department, you will have the opportunity to be involved in building it.
As revenue and transaction volumes increase across the USA and Europe, we expect to invest further in the international side of the business and recruit additional team members.
For the right person, this creates the potential to progress from an individual Sales \& Business Development role into a more senior position with responsibility for developing and leading an international sales team.
What Can We Offer?
At Chrono Hunter, you will have the opportunity to exhibit your skills, contribute ideas and have a genuine influence on the development and growth of both the business and your own role.
We offer:
- Competitive basic salary.
- Uncapped performance\-related commission.
- Bonus opportunities.
- Company pension.
- Paid Saturday work where applicable.
- Clear career progression opportunities.
- The opportunity to help develop new international markets.
- Potential international travel.
- The opportunity to work within the luxury watch industry.
- A friendly, ambitious and professional team environment.
Founded in 2017, Chrono Hunter is a luxury watch marketplace connecting private buyers and sellers with a network of reputable luxury watch retailers.
Our personalised service allows customers looking to buy or sell luxury watches to receive multiple offers from established retailers, helping them achieve a great deal while providing a safe, efficient and professional environment in which to transact.
More than £60 million of watches have been transacted through the Chrono Hunter platform, and our network now includes over 100 reputable retailers, ranging from specialist family\-run businesses to PLCs.
As we continue to grow, international expansion represents an important next stage for the business, and we are looking for an ambitious person who wants to play a significant role in making that happen.
