Pay: £13\.36 per hour
Location: London Gatwick Airport
Working Pattern: Rota\-based across 7 days, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays

About the Role

As a Lounge Host at Plaza Premium Lounge, you will play an important part in delivering an exceptional airport lounge experience to our guests.You will work across food and beverage service, bar operations, guest engagement, replenishment and lounge presentation. We are looking for friendly, proactive and professional individuals who enjoy working in a fast\-paced hospitality environment and take pride in providing excellent customer service.

Duties \& Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner.


• Create memorable guest experiences by engaging with guests and anticipating their needs.


• Deliver personalised service and respond promptly to guest requests.


• Serve food and beverages within the lounge service areas.


• Prepare and mix beverages in accordance with product specifications and service standards.


• Provide knowledgeable advice on food and beverage options, including allergens, dietary requirements and specific dietary needs.


• Monitor opening and closing stock levels and ensure agreed par stock levels are maintained.


• Ensure products and supplies are stored correctly and safely.


• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system where required.


• Clear tables and collect used crockery and glassware promptly to maintain a welcoming lounge environment.


• Regularly clean and sanitise tables, counters, service stations, equipment and other guest\-facing areas.


• Support the cleanliness and presentation of floors and lounge areas.


• Monitor equipment including dishwashers, coffee machines, ice machines, draught systems and beverage dispensers, reporting any faults promptly.


• Follow all cleaning procedures and use equipment and cleaning products correctly.


• Comply with Health \& Safety requirements, including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) procedures.


• Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and management to ensure smooth lounge operations.


• Support colleagues across different areas of the lounge during busy periods.


• Respond professionally to guest feedback and escalate concerns to the Duty Manager where appropriate.


• Follow company policies, procedures and operational standards.


• Complete any other reasonable duties requested by the manager in charge that fall within the scope of the position.


• Be flexible to work across different Plaza Premium Lounge locations or terminals at London Gatwick Airport, depending on operational requirements.

• Is comfortable working early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.


• Previous hospitality, bar, restaurant, hotel, airport lounge or customer service experience would be advantageous, although training will be provided.

This role operates on a rota across seven days and may include a combination of early and late shifts.

Applicants must be able to reliably travel to London Gatwick Airport for early\-morning starts, including at times when public transport may be limited.

Pay: £13\.12 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40\.0 per week
