Due to growing demand we are in search of a Logistics Warehouse Supervisor to join our on\-site team. This is a permanent role and will report to the Logistics Manager.
Job purpose:
To supervise and coordinate daily warehouse and yard operations, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods. The role is responsible for leading and supporting the yard team, maintaining high standards of health and safety, inventory accuracy, housekeeping, customer service, and operational performance while contributing to continuous improvement across the logistics function.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and motivate the yard team to perform at their best and assigning daily tasks.
- Receiving and checking all inbound and outbound deliveries
- Co\-ordinate daily duties to the team, for tasks to be completed in timely \& efficient manner.
- Paquerteria orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Managing stock control including regular stock takes
- Lead by example with safe working practices to be conducted by the team at all times.
- To provide effective support to the rest of our industrial teams to ensure constant improvement in all areas of the operation.
- Assisting all customers in the yard and checking loads for accuracy
- Ensure that all daily checks of FLT vehicles are undertaken and appropriate actions are taken.
- Ensure good house\-keeping as standard and check this is maintained; for the yard to always be safe and tidy.
- Ensure that all health \& safety standards are complied with, appropriate risk assessments are undertaken for any hazards and risks to be minimised and controlled.
- Coach and support the team to gain efficiencies i.e. work smarter not harder.
- Supervise tasks effectively to identify training needs.
- Reporting to the Logistics Manager and effectively manage inventory accuracy.
- General yard duties and housekeeping
- Manage OCS and report any spills to Logistic Manager
- Quality checks while loading and reporting any issues to quality department.
- Plastic injection molding industry knowledge preferred.
- Prior Experience in Supervisor role preferred.
- Leadership and team management.
- Organisation and time management.
- Problem solving ability.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
- Forklift Licence Counterbalance licence is required and Reach licence would be an advantage.
- Display high standards of customer service within all areas of your work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
