LOGISTICS VAN DRIVER - FULL TIME

Job Description:

We are seeking a fit and enthusiastic driver to work within a very busy business to business logistics company in Leicester. We require excellent customer service and communications skills with an ability to use our Delivery App through a mobile device. In addition, our successful candidate will have good practical experience of manual handling, securing loads safely and time management.

Candidates must have pride in their work and fit in with a professional environment.

Candidates must be 25 years and over to comply with our RHA Insurance Regulations.

We require a minimum of 2 years experience in the Logistics Industry.

Rate of pay £12\.75 working week. Weekend rates paid for Saturday and Sunday hours.

Holiday to be accrued 21 working days plus statutory bank holidays.

Hours of Work 45 per week minimum but ranges to 60 per week during peak times.

Weekend work regularly at peak times.

Start Time – Requires early starts (usually between 6:30 \- 8:30\)

Finish time – Some late finishes (usual finish between 17:30 \- 18:30\)

Live within a 20 mile radius of the business.

Candidates must be prepared for a flexible work pattern.

It is open to new applicants – previous employees and applicants are not being considered.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations while adhering to traffic regulations.


• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.


• Handle manual tasks such as loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.


• Maintain communication with logistics teams to coordinate delivery schedules.


• Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic mechanical maintenance to ensure optimal performance.


• Recording of weights and dimensions throughout the day sending them into the office via the inhouse app.


• Participate in the safe loading and unloading in out warehouse at the start and finish of each day.


• Ability to use a telephone app to clock in and out daily and record time off requests.
