At Life Couriers, our operation is fast\-paced, customer\-focused and constantly evolving. We’re looking for a Logistics Supervisor who can lead from the front, keep people focused and make sure the operation delivers what our customers expect.
This is more than just supervising a team. You’ll be a key part of the day\-to\-day operation, making sure our people have the support they need, our processes are followed and our customers receive an excellent service.
You’ll be someone who is comfortable getting stuck in when needed, but who also knows when to step back, delegate and lead.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Supervising and supporting the team during your shift, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
- Planning and allocating daily workloads to make sure operational priorities are achieved.
- Monitoring productivity, service levels and KPIs and taking action when performance starts to fall behind.
- Ensuring orders, goods and deliveries are processed accurately and within required timescales.
- Supporting drivers and warehouse colleagues to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Leading by example and maintaining high standards of customer service, quality and professionalism.
- Carrying out daily briefings, keeping the team informed of priorities, changes and important operational information.
- Coaching and supporting team members to improve their performance, confidence and capability.
- Providing regular feedback and recognising good performance.
- Addressing poor performance, conduct or attendance issues appropriately and escalating where required.
- Ensuring company policies, processes, health \& safety and compliance requirements are followed.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.
- Investigating operational issues, identifying root causes and suggesting improvements.
- Supporting stock control, audits and accurate record keeping.
- Communicating effectively with Depot Managers, drivers, warehouse teams and other departments.
- Helping to manage resources effectively, including people, vehicles, equipment and overtime.
- Supporting the Depot Manager with the smooth running of the operation.
- Taking responsibility for the shift and making decisions when required.
- Creating a positive, professional and high\-performing team environment.
We’re looking for someone who is confident leading people, enjoys solving problems and takes personal responsibility for getting things done properly.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Previous experience in a logistics, transport, warehouse or distribution environment.
- Previous experience of supervising, leading or coordinating a team, or the clear potential to step into a supervisory role.
- The confidence to give direction and hold people accountable for their performance.
- Good communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
- The ability to remain calm and make good decisions when the operation is under pressure.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.

- Experience working with KPIs, targets or service\-level measures.
- The confidence to deal with problems and difficult conversations professionally.
- A positive, practical and “can\-do” attitude.
- The ability to motivate and support a team while maintaining appropriate standards and boundaries.
- Good basic IT skills and confidence using operational systems.
