With decades of craftsmanship and a dedication to excellence, we are looking for an organised and proactive Logistics Scheduler to support the efficient planning and coordination of our deliveries across the UK.

Role Overview:

The Logistics Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimising the delivery schedule for all Shackletons' customers. Working closely with production, warehouse, customer service, project managers, installation teams, and third\-party logistics providers, the role ensures products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time, while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and capable of responding effectively to daily changes in business and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport \& Delivery Planning and Coordination

· Create and manage daily and weekly delivery schedules to ensure customer requirements are met.

· Optimise vehicle routes, delivery dates, and installation schedules to maximise efficiency and resource utilisation.

· Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure orders are available and ready for despatch.

· Monitor delivery schedules and proactively manage changes, delays, or disruptions.

· Ensure delivery plans align with customer priorities and project deadlines.

· Liaise with internal departments, customers, transport providers, and installation teams to coordinate delivery activities.

· Provide customers with accurate delivery information and updates where required.

· Manage transport bookings and maintain effective communication with third\-party logistics providers.

· Support the resolution of delivery issues and customer queries in a timely and professional manner.

· Maximise loads / cube to get ‘best fit’ of our furniture on our fleet.

Customer Service \& Communication

· Act as a key point of contact for delivery scheduling and logistics\-related enquiries.

· Build positive working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

· Ensure customers receive the highest standard of service throughout the delivery process.

· Communicate any delivery risks, delays, or changes promptly and effectively.

· Support the smooth coordination of deliveries into care homes, healthcare environments, and other customer locations.

Performance \& Continuous Improvement

· Monitor transport performance, delivery accuracy, and service levels.

· Identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency, vehicle utilisation, and customer satisfaction.

· Maintain accurate records relating to deliveries, transport activities, and logistics performance.

· Produce reports and performance data as required by management.

· Support initiatives to improve logistics processes, systems, and ways of working.

Compliance \& Administration

· Ensure logistics activities are planned in accordance with company procedures and transport regulations.

· Maintain accurate delivery schedules, transport records, and customer information.

· Assist in managing proof of delivery documentation and transport administration requirements.

· Support health and safety requirements relating to transport and delivery operations.

· Ensure data is accurately maintained within relevant planning and business systems.

Key Skills and Experience

· Previous experience in a transport planning, logistics scheduling, fleet coordination, or supply chain role.

· Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

· Experience coordinating deliveries, routes, or installation schedules in a fast\-paced environment.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Strong problem\-solving abilities and the confidence to respond to changing priorities.

· Good understanding of transport and logistics operations.

· Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments, customers, and external partners.

· Experience using transport management, ERP, or scheduling systems would be advantageous.

· High attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay: £32,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
