Position Title: Logistics OperativeThe Employer:

Crosscare delivers services with a servant leadership ethos. Crosscare’s Homeless, Youth, Information and Advocacy Teams support those most in need with Love, Respect and Excellence.
Crosscare exists to support people and families when they face difficult challenges in life and when they find it hard to get the help they need. Crosscare focuses on helping people when they need it most or when they can’t find support anywhere else. Crosscare Food Services assist families and individuals when they are struggling to purchase food. This is done through Crosscare Cafes and Food \& Support services.Location: Main base 35 Dunne Street DO1 T101 with collection/delivery locations throughout Dublin.Work Schedule: 30hrs p/w Mon \-Fri with a POSSIBLE increase to 35hrs in busier (pre\-Christmas etc.)Contract:12 monthsSalary: €27,981 – €38,956 (pro rata and depending on experience)Reporting to: The Portland Café ManagerGeneral Responsibilities:* Manage collections and deliveries – load and unload van, plan routes, collect stock from donors/sponsors, deliver to services as needed in a timely manner.
- Liaise with donors and sponsors professionally, ensuring supply meets demand. Continue to explore and develop new avenues for product donation or sponsors.
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse, track stock in/out electronically, maintain accurate records and to observe Crosscare Health \& Safety procedures at all times.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, insured and ready for use.
- Complete pre\-use safety checks, log results and ensure any issues are reported to manager immediately.
- Schedule and oversee maintenance and compliance of Crosscare Food Services vehicles.
- Establish good relationships with staff and volunteers communicating directly any changes in stock/storage in a professional manner.
- To maintain open communication with service manager including cancellation of shifts, stock management, changes to delivery/collection schedules.
- To be able to adapt and organise delivery schedules during busy periods as needed.
- Being an effective role model for all staff.
- Being supportive and open to changes, providing leadership and direction throughout any change process.
- Identifying and promoting best practice and being committee to always act in accordance with Crosscare’s policies and procedures including Health \& Safety.
- To attend all relevant training as requested by manager.
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the manager.
- Ability to approach task with a non\-judgmental, fact based mindset to understand issues objectively.
- Confident using emails, Word, Excel (databases)
