Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Logistics Operations and Recruitment professional to join our team. This role involves overseeing end\-to\-end logistics processes, managing supply chain activities, and leading recruitment efforts within the logistics department. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, a solid understanding of transportation management systems and 3PL providers. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to process optimisation, continuous improvement initiatives, and overall operational efficiency in a fast\-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily logistics operations, including temperature controlled vehicles \& receiving, warehouse management system (WMS), and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Supervise logistics staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.
- Oversee supply chain activities, including inventory control, order fulfilment, and distribution planning.
- Coordinate with 3PL providers to optimise freight costs and service levels.
- Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing costs across logistics functions.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new logistics personnel to ensure team growth aligns with operational needs.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance workflow and reduce waste within logistics operations.
- Monitor profit \& loss statements related to logistics activities to ensure budget adherence and cost control.
- Proven experience in logistics management with a focus on supply chain optimisation and warehouse operations.
- Clear communication skills
- Supervising experience in a logistics environment..
- Familiarity with continuous improvement practices within logistics or supply chain functions.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- At least 2 years working in the Logistics industry
