Logistics Manager
<p><strong>Schedule: Two day-shift positions are available: one Monday–Saturday and one Tuesday–Saturday.</strong></p>

<p>This management level position oversees multiple teams at the assigned Logistics Field Operation location, and may supervise warehouse and inventory teams as needed. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.</p>
<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Oversee day-to-day transportation operations needs at assigned locations in coordination with other site leaders.</li>
<li>Participate in the development of site specific goals and objectives, and ensure alignment and effective execution within the site.</li>
<li>Review and evaluate daily route schedules and work with Logistics Operations Planning and Scheduling to address issues and deficiencies.</li>
<li>Providing mentoring and accountability to, direct reports and succession planning through coaching, leadership development and training, and performance management.</li>
<li>Ensure work areas meet or exceed applicable workplace safety standards, including yard cleanliness and, completing GEMBA walks. (Gemba translates to “where the work is”).</li>
<li>Ensure timely and effective communication with internal teams.</li>
<li>As needed, coordinate and monitor the movement of inventory on the ground through the warehouse workflow; evaluate and distribute work and assigned shifts to meet business needs.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of DOT compliance/regulations</li>
<li>2+ years of people leadership experience</li>
<li>3+ years of logistics or supply chain experience</li>
<li>Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in related fields.</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience leading or developing people (in either formal or informal roles), including managing CDL drivers.</li>
<li>Transportation experience, which may include driving a vehicle transporter or tractor trailer, or equivalent Military experience preferred.</li>
</ul>
<p>Other Requirements: Loader certification required; must complete Carvana's loader training and certification program</p>
<p><em><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS</strong><br>Ability to safely perform physical requirements of the position, including: frequently move in and out of vehicles; frequently stand, bend, twist, stoop, and squat; regularly walk 75’; regularly climb ladders and ramps of up to 10’; regularly work up to 10’ above ground; continually sit for 10 hours; regularly push, pull and lift 20 lbs, and periodically lift up to 60 lbs.<br>Ability to work in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, dusty, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions such as: rain, snow, heat, etc.<br>Flexibility to work overtime, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.<br>Ability to work in an office environment, with extensive use of computers, including the ability to sit for up to 4 or more hours.</em></p>
