As the Logistics Manager, you will lead the Logistics department, overseeing all logistics planning, distribution activities and delivery coordination to ensure customer projects are executed seamlessly from production through to final delivery. You will be responsible for developing logistics strategies, managing operational performance and maintaining strong relationships with courier providers, transport partners and internal stakeholders.

Working closely with Production, Client Services, Warehouse, Collate \& Pack, Transport and Procurement, you will ensure logistics operations support business objectives while delivering outstanding customer service, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

DUTIES \& RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage the day\-to\-day operation of the Logistics department, ensuring customer deliveries are coordinated efficiently and in line with agreed service levels.


• Provide line management, coaching and development for the Senior Logistics Coordinator and Logistics Coordinator, promoting a high\-performing and collaborative team.


• Develop and implement logistics strategies that support business growth, operational excellence and customer satisfaction.


• Plan and oversee UK and international distribution activities, ensuring projects are delivered accurately, safely and on schedule.


• Manage relationships with courier companies, freight providers and logistics partners, monitoring service performance and contractual commitments.


• Review logistics capacity, delivery schedules and resource requirements, ensuring operational priorities are effectively managed.


• Monitor departmental KPIs, including on\-time delivery, delivery accuracy, logistics costs, courier performance and customer service metrics.


• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise logistics processes, improve service levels and reduce operational costs.


• Oversee the preparation and compliance of export documentation, customs paperwork and international shipping requirements.


• Review courier invoices, freight costs and logistics expenditure, supporting budget management and cost control.


• Work closely with Production, Scheduling, Client Services, Warehouse, Collate \& Pack and Transport teams to coordinate customer project delivery.


• Support customer meetings, project planning sessions and operational reviews by providing logistics expertise and delivery solutions.


• Investigate significant delivery failures, customer complaints and operational incidents, implementing corrective and preventative actions where appropriate.


• Ensure accurate logistics reporting, operational dashboards and KPI analysis are produced for senior management.


• Support the implementation and optimisation of ERP, logistics management and production planning systems.


• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, customer focus and continuous improvement throughout the Logistics team.


• Ensure compliance with company policies, Health \& Safety legislation, environmental standards, import/export regulations and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Significant experience managing logistics, supply chain or distribution operations within a manufacturing or production environment.


• Proven experience leading and developing operational teams.


• Excellent understanding of UK and international logistics, courier management and distribution processes.


• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, customs documentation and freight operations.


• Excellent organisational, planning and resource management skills.


• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer service, operational performance and cost efficiency.


• Experience managing logistics KPIs, budgets and supplier performance.


• Proficiency in ERP, logistics management systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.


• Comprehensive understanding of Health \& Safety legislation within logistics and manufacturing environments.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience within print, POS, retail display, large\-format graphics or creative manufacturing.


• Professional qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management (e.g. CILT Level 5 or equivalent).


• Experience managing nationwide retail rollouts, fulfilment operations or international distribution.


• Knowledge of Lean Logistics, Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.


• IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health \& Safety qualification.


• Experience managing logistics contracts, supplier negotiations and service level agreements.


• Experience supporting ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and ISO 45001 management systems.


• Experience implementing logistics technology, automation or digital transformation initiatives.

Pay: £50,000\.00\-£60,000\.00 per year
