UVISON Technologies Ltd is a growing service and consumables provider to the pharmaceutical industry, representing some of the world's leading analytical instrument manufacturers. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a reliable and organised Logistics Operative to join our team.

The role

You'll be responsible for supporting the smooth day\-to\-day movement of goods into and out of the business, from receiving and checking incoming deliveries through to preparing, packaging and arranging the despatch of customer orders.

This is a hands\-on role, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being busy, takes pride in getting things right and is happy working as part of a small team and alone.

Key responsibilities

  • Receiving, checking, booking in and distributing incoming deliveries

  • Checking deliveries against purchase orders to ensure quantities and condition are correct

  • Arranging deliveries and collections with couriers including DHL and UPS

  • Preparing products and orders for despatch

  • Packaging and labelling orders accurately and to the required specifications

  • Ensuring goods are handled, packaged and loaded appropriately to minimise the risk of damage in transit

  • Reporting damaged or incorrect deliveries and assisting with returns

  • Raising non\-conformances where required

  • Accurately updating stock and logistics systems

  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe Goods In/Despatch area

  • Supporting the wider team with logistics requirements as needed
About you

Ideally, you'll have previous experience within a Goods In, warehouse, despatch or logistics environment, although we're particularly interested in finding someone with the right attitude and attention to detail.

You'll need:

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload

  • Confidence using computer systems

  • An understanding of stock control systems

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • A practical, hands\-on approach

  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • A reliable, positive and flexible approach to work

  • The ability to work under pressure when required
Experience using Sage for stock control would be beneficial but isn't essential.

As this is a practical logistics role, you'll need to be comfortable with regular handling, packing and movement of goods and spending periods of the working day on your feet.

Due to the location of our premises, you'll need to be able to reliably commute to work each day.
