Logistics Administrator
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail\-oriented Logistics Administrator to oversee and optimise our supply chain operations. This role involves managing transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes to ensure seamless delivery of goods. The successful candidate will utilise various logistics systems and data analysis skills to support efficient materials handling and process improvements across the organisation. Duties
- Manage category management activities to optimise inventory levels and product assortment
- Coordinate shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate documentation and timely deliveries
- Utilise transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments and stock levels
- Oversee third\-party logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring service level agreements are met
- Implement process improvements to streamline logistics workflows and reduce costs
- Maintain data accuracy within ERP systems such as AS400 and other supply chain software
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, forecast demand, and support decision\-making processes
- Organise materials handling activities, including picking \& packing operations within the warehouse environment
- Supervise the use of forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment, ensuring safety compliance
- Coordinate with internal teams for efficient shipping \& receiving operations, including documentation compliance
- Proven experience in logistics administration or supply chain management within a warehouse environment
- Familiarity with category management, process optimisation, and supply chain best practices
- Hands\-on experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as AS400, and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of 3PL operations, shipping \& receiving procedures, and materials handling techniques
- Experience operating forklift trucks is desirable but not essential; relevant training can be provided
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
Pay: £12\.80 per hour
