Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail\-oriented Logistics Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of the supply chain, ensuring the smooth operation of transportation, warehousing, and inventory processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your logistics expertise within a dynamic environment, supporting efficient materials handling and process optimisation across multiple departments.
Duties
- Oversee category management to optimise product classification and inventory levels.
- Coordinate transportation management systems (TMS) to schedule and track shipments effectively.
- Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 to monitor stock levels, order processing, and data analysis.
- Manage shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Collaborate with third\-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline supply chain activities.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records of materials handling activities, including picking \& packing procedures.
- Supervise warehouse activities, including forklift operations and materials movement, adhering to safety standards.
- Analyse logistical data to identify trends, optimise workflows, and support strategic planning.
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, including AS400\.
- Knowledge of 3PL coordination, shipping \& receiving protocols, and materials handling techniques.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently within a warehouse environment.
- Strong data analysis skills for reporting and process optimisation purposes.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast\-paced setting.
- Experience with picking \& packing processes and inventory control procedures.
- Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners effectively.
