313 ENTERPRISE LTD provides delivery and collection services on behalf of DPD, operating from the DPD DC depot in Middleton. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Logistics Manager to oversee our daily logistics operation and ensure that all delivery and collection activities run efficiently, safely, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and manage delivery and collection routes every day using the company's route planning system.
- Maintain and review routes to ensure they are efficient, practical, and suitable for the daily parcel volumes and operational requirements.
- Allocate drivers an appropriate number of stops and parcels, ensuring workloads are manageable and routes are completed efficiently.
- Ensure vehicles are loaded within the correct weight and capacity limits, with parcels distributed appropriately.
- Plan and organise the loading bays so that each driver's parcels are correctly sorted, staged, and ready for loading.
- Ensure drivers and vehicles are prepared and dispatched on time each morning.
- Monitor the daily operation and respond quickly to changes such as increased parcel volumes, driver availability, route issues, delays, or operational problems.
- Coordinate closely with DPD, drivers, warehouse staff, and other logistics partners.
- Monitor delivery and collection performance and identify areas where improvements can be made.
- Ensure efficient parcel handling, loading, unloading, and materials handling procedures.
- Continuously look for ways to improve route efficiency, driver utilisation, loading processes, vehicle capacity, productivity, and overall operational performance.
- Ensure that all operations are carried out safely and in accordance with company and operational procedures.
Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
The role is primarily Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities available at weekends where required. Weekend overtime may be offered depending on operational requirements and business needs.

The successful candidate will need to be highly organised, reliable, confident in making quick operational decisions, and able to manage a fast\-paced logistics environment. Attention to detail is essential, as effective route planning, parcel allocation, vehicle loading, and daily coordination are critical to maintaining the high\-quality delivery and collection service we provide to DPD.
Pay: £35,000\.00\-£55,000\.00 per year
