Job Description

The NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Locum Registrar (ST3\+) to provide high‑quality clinical care across inpatient, outpatient, and on‑call services. The successful candidate will join a supportive multidisciplinary team and contribute to safe, effective patient management.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering high‑standard clinical care to patients within your specialty


• Participating in ward rounds, clinics, and emergency assessments


• Supporting junior doctors and contributing to teaching


• Ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to NHS clinical governance


• Participating in rota duties, including evenings/nights (if required)


• Working collaboratively with consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals

• Valid Right to Work in the UK


• Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise


• Minimum ST3\+ level experience


• Previous NHS experience (minimum 6–12 months preferred)


• Up‑to‑date mandatory training (BLS/ALS, safeguarding, etc.)


• Enhanced DBS clearance


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• MBBS / MBChB or equivalent medical degree


• Completion of Core Training (CT1–CT2\) or equivalent


• Specialty training experience relevant to the post


• ALS certification (desirable but often required)
