Locum Pharmacist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Pharmacist to join our healthcare team on a temporary basis to cover for maternity. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert pharmaceutical services, ensuring patient safety, and supporting clinical teams. Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions accurately in accordance with legal and organisational guidelines


• Provide expert advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions


• Support patient care through medication management and counselling


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise treatment plans


• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all pharmaceutical activities


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy setting


• Assist in inventory management, including stock checks and ordering supplies as needed


• Participate in clinical audits and quality assurance processes to uphold service standards

Skills

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to medication administration


• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient groups


• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with healthcare teams


• Organised, detail\-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently
