This is a 10PA locum appointment for a Locum Consultant , with special interests in ENT. This post will be available for a period of 6 months
This post will deliver 8\.5PAs supporting the ENT team , and 1\.5 SPAs
The post will be based at Leeds General Infirmary.
The successful applicant should hold accreditation the Royal College of Surgeons or equivalent, and should be on the Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK, or have references which have been authorised by the Deputy Medical Director and Clinical Director.
Applicants should have established skills in Otolaryngology. Excellent communication and team working skills, a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential.

Job Summary

The post will be based at The General Infirmary at Leeds and Wharfedale General Hospital. The ENT Department consists of 14 Consultants. We cover all subspecialities in ENT including Rhinology, Skull base, Paediatrics, Head \& Neck and Otology. We are looking for a fixed term locum to help with the expanding workload. There will also be on call commitments taking referrals from district hospitals as well as managing direct referrals

The ENT department is placed in Brotherton Wing, LGI, offering adjacency of clinic, consultant office, secretaries and management staff, which greatly enhances the working environment. Theatres are in the same area as our related specialties, allowing ease of interspecialty work. The paediatric work is carried out in the adjacent Childrens Hospital, with excellent ward and ICU facilities.
What you will bring to the role

- To deliver care to patients with ENT conditions at Leeds
+ Supervision and management of in\-patients
+ ENT Theatres
Regular on\-call duties

- To link with Consultant colleagues in other relevant site\-specialist teams within the Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
- To contribute to teaching and academic progression within the department
