Job Summary
---------------
Leeds Teaching Hospitals Urology department are looking to recruit, a Locum Consultant to support the Service.
This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
The successful candidate will be joining one of the biggest Urology Departments in the country which provides a wide range of urological services including secondary, tertiary, and regional care. The department has an excellent national reputation in Specialty Urological training and teaching.
It is of note that the department has regular access to a Da Vinci robot.

The post being advertised on this occasion is to support the General Urology service and manage general urological conditions.
Research is to be encouraged, and it is expected that the post holder will pursue a project during their tenure with a view to publication in a peer\-reviewed journal.
Although this is not a recognised training post the incumbent will have the opportunity participate fully in the training programme, including regular radiology and uropathology meetings, one half\-day per week of postgraduate education.

What you will bring to the role

The successful candidate will support the General urology Service.
This includes but not exhaustive to managing patients via outpatient appointments in Outpatient Clinics, diagnostic testing (flexible cystoscopy) and operating on patients in both Day Case and Inpatient theatres.
