Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine & Nephrology

We are looking for enthusiastic, forward thinking, and passionate Consultants, to help shape and deliver our vision in providing outstanding care to our patients and community. You must be a team player and hold excellent communication skills.
This post is a 10 PA Acute Medicine \& Nephology post. You will provide your PA per week split as below.
Your DCC allocation is 8 DCC’s per week:
6 DCC to Acute Medicine
1 DCC to Nephrology outpatients at LNWUH
1 DCC to Hammersmith Hospital Nephrology on\-call rota
Your SPA allocation is 2 SPA per week.

Acute Medicine at Northwick Park
Northwick Park is a Major Acute Hospital with a busy medical take and an established reputation for patients presenting with a very wide range of medical conditions with a high degree of acuity. Recognition of the vital role that is played by Acute Medicine has seen the Trust make a substantial investment in the service. This will enable the department to develop three Acute Medical Unit wards with patients remaining under the care of the acute team for their duration on the unit. In addition the team runs the Same Day Emergency Care Unit and the well\-established Medical High Dependency Unit. Participation in HDU will be optional dependent on previous experience and competencies.
Nephology at Northwick Park
The renal centre at London North West University Hospitals based at Northwick Park Hospital encompasses an outpatients suite and dialysis unit. The dialysis unit operates six days a week and has a capacity of 53 stations. The post holder will be based at Northwick Park Hospital.
Nephrology at Hammersmith Hospital The job includes taking a share of the on\-call work on the Hammersmith Hospital site on a 1\-in\-10 nephrology rota including weekend ward rounds covering one of the Nephrology inpatient wards (1 DCC). This would involve a daily weekday and weekend ward round and board round at Hammersmith hospital.
