About the Role

Associated Security with Anvil Locksmiths are seeking an experienced Locksmith/Service Engineer to join our Service Department. This role is primarily focused on safes and locksmithing, with additional involvement in access control systems. You will be responsible for delivering high\-quality service and support to customers while maintaining the company’s professional standards and reputation.

This is a mobile role requiring travel across Scotland.
The successful candidate will also participate in an on\-call rota approximately once per month to cover out\-of\-hours urgent service work.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain a wide range of safes, door locks, and locking systems, including mechanical, digital, and electrical locks.


• Cut and manage all types of keys, including mortice and cylinder keys.


• Provide locksmith and mechanical repairs where required.


• Deliver excellent customer service, maintaining strong relationships and high service standards.


• Installation of steel and timber security doors.


• Maintain accurate service records and a growing library of technical service information.


• Support and assist other service engineers to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.


• Follow established procedures to ensure efficient job completion and closure.


• Maintain clear and professional communication with the call desk.


• Manage van stock control, logging on and off customer systems as required.


• Respond to urgent out\-of\-hours call\-outs when on the on\-call rota.

• Extensive experience within the locksmith industry or a closely related field.


• Strong understanding of modern and traditional locking systems, including electronic and mechanical locks.


• Recognised locksmith training.


• Willingness and ability to train on new products and systems.


• Experience working as a mobile service engineer.


• Full UK driving licence.


• Ability to participate in an out\-of\-hours on\-call rota.


• Professional attitude with the ability to work independently and under pressure.

• Experience working with safes and locks.


• Knowledge of access control systems.


• Relevant locksmith qualifications.
