LLP - Planning Manager
The Planning Manager is responsible for leading the Tactical Planning function, driving cost control management, optimizing end\-to\-end network planning, and developing business intelligence and continuous improvement initiatives to support client's operations.
The role focuses on delivering supply chain excellence while ensuring the lowest total logistics cost, high service levels, and strong data driven decision making.
Acting as a key transversal role within Operations, enabling visibility (transport and cost), optimization, and digital transformation across the logistics network, acting as a strategic interface between operations, finance, IT and the customer. The role also includes managing a Planning Specialist as direct report (with potential team expantion mid/long term) to contribute to the long term development of capabilities and solutions within the DHL LLP organization. Main accountabilities: *Network Planning Optimization** Identify and implement process optimization and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and performance
- Support the AoT Project VS1\+2, ensuring the implementation and sustainability of the newly established processes, as well as continuous improvement.
- Coordinate customer CR’s and internal CR’s/CP’s related to operations.
- Coordinate and supervise superuser testing activities, and act as liaison with Control Tower team to train on new process.
- Support achievement of contractual KPIs and service levels
- Manage route optimization, including emissions calculation and analysis for new routes
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives within the logistics network
- Coordinate projects and manage launch tracking, including timelines, priorities, reporting, and implementation
- Identify and develop new business and improvement opportunities
- Oversee capacity monitoring, planning, and network optimization
- Monitor and report CO₂ emissions, supporting sustainability objectives
- Support the DHL team in providing cost scenarios, service options, and simulation\-based solutions for the customer
- Support the AoT Project VS3, ensuring the implementation and sustainability of the newly established processes, as well as data accuracy and seamless system integration
- Identify avoidable vs non\-avoidable cost elements, and drive reduction initiatives
- Supervise carrier rate cards database, guaranteeing accuracy and system integration and coordinating initiatives required to ensure full visibility of correct RCs uploaded in the system.
- Analyse deviations between actual and optimal carrier selection
- Review spot shipments and assess potential conversion into standard tariffs where applicable
- Drive the optimization and standardization of Power BI reports
- Act as a key liaison between business team , FBA/FI and IT to ensure alignment and effective delivery of CRs.
- Support and manage digital tools while contributing to the overall digitalization roadmap
- Support OMS Champion and HoA in OMS Implementation
- Maintain strong customer focus, ensuring alignment with priorities
- Foster a high\-performance and collaborative environment
- Strong knowledge of OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) is mandatory.
- Advanced experience with process design tools (e.g., Visio)
- Strong project management capabilities (PMP, First Choice Bronze Training,or equivalent desirable)
- Strong understanding of: Supply chain design, Cost modeling and analysis, Data analytics and reporting
- Advanced Excel skills (intermediate to high level required)
- Power BI and PowerQuery knowledge (desirable)
- Experience leading teams and working in dynamic operational environments
- Strong customer orientation and communication skills
- Strong ability to design and implement data\-driven solutions
- Experience delivering logistics projects and solutions
- High attention to detail, with capability to handle complex data
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment
- Structured, organized, and results\-oriented mindset
- Driven by continuous improvement and innovation
- Comfortable working within defined processes and governance frameworks
- Recommended knowledge of ITAR, DGR, oversize, customs processes, DGR, temperature\-controlled logistics
- Knowledge of aerospace sector and AOG environment (desirable)
- English: Fluent (written and spoken)
- Spanish: Fluent (written and spoken)
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or similar
