Salary: £700 per week net (approx. £45,500 gross per annum equivalent)

A highly regarded private household in Maida Vale is seeking an experienced Live-In Housekeeper to join their long-standing domestic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional Housekeeper looking for a long-term role within a warm, respectful and well-run household where staff retention is excellent and employees are genuinely valued.
The family enjoys entertaining and hosting guests throughout the year and is seeking a discreet, proactive and highly organised Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining impeccable standards.

The Role
Working alongside an established team, including a live-in Chef and another Live-in Housekeeper, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the afternoon and evening housekeeping shift.

• Approximately 2:00pm-8:00pm daily (with flexibility to 10:00pm when entertaining)


• 6 days per week when the family are in residence


• Reduced schedule of 4 days per week when the family are travelling (approximately 4 months of the year)

Key Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping duties to an exceptionally high standard


• Daily cleaning and upkeep of all living areas


• Routine bathroom servicing and presentation throughout the day


• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management


• Care of fine furnishings, silverware and artwork


• Assisting the principal with packing and unpacking


• Supporting the household during entertaining and dinner service


• Working closely with the live-in Chef to ensure smooth household operations


• Maintaining organisation, cleanliness and presentation across the property

The Household

• Large family home in Maida Vale


• Four-bedroom property (typically only two bedrooms regularly occupied)


• One well-behaved Golden Retriever and one cat


• Additional household support including a gardener and overnight security


• Excellent staff longevity and a positive working environment

• Proven experience working within long-term private household positions


• Available immediately

• Able to work independently and use initiative

• Flexible approach when the family are entertaining
