Live in Carer

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated LIVE\-IN Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those with disabilities, ensuring they receive the necessary attention and support in their daily activities. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at promoting independence and comfort within the home or care facility.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities.


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.


• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions.


• Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.


• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living space.


• Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.


• Implement behaviour management techniques as needed to support clients with specific challenges.


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.


• Provide specialised care for clients with conditions such as dementia or those in hospice care settings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home care, senior care, or nursing home environments is preferred.


• Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.


• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.


• Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others.


• Certification in caregiving or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.


• A compassionate nature with patience and understanding towards clients' needs.


• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.

• Home care: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)


• DBS Certificate on UPDATE SERVICE (preferred)
