Litigation Solicitor
Litigation Solicitor – Nottingham (Hybrid)
Craft your next chapter in a role where litigation expertise, commercial instinct and client partnership truly matter.
You know the rhythm of litigation: the early strategy calls, the careful unpicking of risk, the decisive moments that move a case forward. This role gives you the space to own that story — shaping outcomes, strengthening client relationships and driving commercially smart solutions from start to finish.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Litigation Solicitor (5+ PQE or Chartered Legal Executive with higher rights) to join a high-performing team specialising in landlord and tenant matters. You’ll be the trusted adviser clients turn to when the stakes are high — offering clarity, confidence and commercially focused guidance.
Based in Nottingham, the role offers hybrid working, with attendance in the office once a week or at least once a fortnight to stay connected with the team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll take ownership of a varied litigation caseload, driving momentum and delivering results through:
- Proactive client engagement, capturing detailed instructions and offering clear, commercially grounded advice.
- Strategic case direction, identifying risks, opportunities and the most advantageous route forward.
- High-quality drafting, from correspondence to complex legal documents, tailored to each client’s objectives.
- Thorough legal research and analysis, ensuring every recommendation is accurate and up to date.
- Confident communication with clients, colleagues and opposing solicitors to progress matters effectively.
- Transparent cost management, keeping clients informed and expectations aligned.
- Meticulous document review, ensuring accuracy, compliance and risk control.
- Strong financial ownership, including time recording, billing and meeting personal performance targets.
- Collaboration, contributing to a supportive, knowledge-sharing team environment.
- Client meetings, spotting opportunities to add value and deepen relationships.
- Continuous development, staying ahead of legal and commercial changes through CPD and case law updates.
- Solid experience in civil litigation (property management litigation is a bonus).
- Strong commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with calm efficiency.
- Experience using case management systems (Proclaim is desirable).
- A proactive, motivated approach — someone who takes ownership and pushes for success.
