Lift Service and Call Out Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Lift Service and Call Out Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert maintenance, repair, and emergency call\-out services for lift systems across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise technical skills within a dynamic environment, ensuring the safety and reliability of lift operations. The position requires a proactive approach, strong problem\-solving abilities, and excellent customer service skills to address client needs efficiently and professionally.

Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on lift systems to ensure optimal performance.


• Respond promptly to emergency call\-outs, diagnosing faults swiftly and implementing effective repairs.


• Carry out comprehensive servicing, including testing safety features and updating maintenance records accurately.


• Liaise with clients to schedule maintenance visits and provide technical advice on lift operation and safety procedures.


• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components of lifts, ensuring compliance with safety standards.


• Maintain detailed documentation of all work carried out, including parts replaced and repairs performed.


• Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company policies.

• Proven experience in lift engineering


• Relevant qualifications NVQ Level 3 as a minimum.


• Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to identify faults efficiently.


• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.


• Ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.


• Valid UK driving licence is essential for site visits and emergency call\-outs.


• Good communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with clients and team members.


• Flexibility to respond to call\-outs outside of regular working hours as required.
