Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical equipment, including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and rotating machinery


• Support the troubleshooting of mechanical faults using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools


• Participate in routine preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan


• Learn to interpret electrical diagrams and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting control systems


• Conduct welding repairs and mechanical modifications under supervision to ensure machinery operates smoothly


• Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all maintenance activities to promote a safe working environment


• Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and share technical knowledge effectively

Requirements

• A strong interest in mechanical engineering with a willingness to learn technical skills on the job


• Basic understanding of schematics, mechanical components, and maintenance principles


• Experience or familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems is advantageous


• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately


• Practical skills in welding or metal fabrication are desirable but not essential; training will be provided


• Good communication skills in English for effective teamwork and reporting


• Demonstrated leadership qualities or supervising experience are a plus for future growth opportunities


• Customer service mindset with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
