Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical equipment, including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and rotating machinery
- Support the troubleshooting of mechanical faults using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Participate in routine preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- Learn to interpret electrical diagrams and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting control systems
- Conduct welding repairs and mechanical modifications under supervision to ensure machinery operates smoothly
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all maintenance activities to promote a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and share technical knowledge effectively
- A strong interest in mechanical engineering with a willingness to learn technical skills on the job
- Basic understanding of schematics, mechanical components, and maintenance principles
- Experience or familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems is advantageous
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately
- Practical skills in welding or metal fabrication are desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English for effective teamwork and reporting
- Demonstrated leadership qualities or supervising experience are a plus for future growth opportunities
- Customer service mindset with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Pay: £320\.00 per week
