Lecturer: Personal Finance - Prison Education - HMP Fosse Way (12 month FTC)
MK College Group is seeking a motivated and learner\-focused Personal Finances Lecturer (12\-month FTC) to deliver the NCFE Level 1 Managing Your Money qualification at HMP Fosse Way. In this rewarding role, you'll help learners develop the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence to manage their finances effectively, supporting successful resettlement and independent living.
Learners are typically motivated, though many have experienced disrupted education, low confidence, or additional learning needs. As a Personal Finances Lecturer, you will play a vital role in building financial capability and helping learners develop essential life skills that can positively impact their future.
You will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons covering:
- Personal budgeting and financial planning
- Understanding income, expenditure, and saving
- Banking and financial services
- Credit, borrowing, debt, and financial responsibility
- Consumer awareness and informed financial decision\-making
We are seeking an individual who:

- Has experience or strong knowledge in personal finance, financial capability, money management, employability, business, education, or related fields
- Can engage and motivate learners with diverse needs and experiences
- Understands the value of financial literacy in supporting long\-term independence
- Builds positive, professional relationships and supports learner success
- Communicates effectively and builds positive, professional relationships with learners
- A teaching or assessing qualification is desirable but not essential . We welcome applications from industry professionals with relevant experience who are keen to move into education. Full support and funded qualifications will be provided.
