“You will join a team that empowers Danske Commodities’ customer journey through end\-to\-end software solutions that maximise value and reduce complexity for our business and customers”
Here’s what the job entails
-------------------------------
In this role, your main responsibility will be to lead the technical direction and evolution of the software systems that support our customer\-focused renewable asset operations, including wind turbines, batteries, and photovoltaic parks.
These systems support critical workflows across the entire customer journey, from asset onboarding and data management to settlement. One of your first priorities will be to lead the optimisation of the settlement process across a broad range of assets, ensuring scalability, robustness, and business impact. You will combine hands\-on development with technical leadership by setting direction, driving high\-quality execution and ensuring alignment across the broader organisation.
More specifically, your responsibilities include:
- drive technical direction and architecture decisions to ensure scalable, resilient and future\-proof solutions
- lead the design and development of high\-quality software that improves customer experience and business outcomes
- translate business strategy into technical solutions in close collaboration with Product Managers, stakeholders and domain experts
- own and evolve engineering standards, best practices and ways of working across the team
- ensure systems remain modern, maintainable and aligned with long\-term business needs
- mentor and guide developers, supporting their technical growth and strengthening the team’s overall capability
------------------
You will join a diverse product team of colleagues specialising in software\- and data engineering, product management, solution architecture, master data and finance. Together, we own the full tech stack behind the customer journey, identifying pain points, building end\-to\-end solutions and driving automation.
Our team culture is built on openness and shared responsibility. We tackle challenges together and step outside our comfort zones when needed to support one another and grow as a team. Our common mindset is simple: no job is too big, and no job is too small.
But enough about us… over to you!
-------------------------------------
We imagine you are motivated by both technical excellence and informal leadership, and that you thrive in a role where you can shape direction while staying close to the code. We are looking for someone who takes a holistic view of your work, connecting technology, people, and processes, and who actively enables others to succeed while ensuring alignment across teams and domains.
Further, we imagine that you:
- bring 8\+ years of experience in software development, architecture and agile ways of working
- have demonstrated experience in technical leadership or leading complex software solutions; you are not just a strong developer, you create clarity, drive direction and deliver impact
- are skilled in .NET, C\# and/or SQL (or similar technologies) and motivated by working with new AI coding tools
- have experience with distributed systems as well as event\- and domain\-driven design
- have experience working across teams and contributing to broader engineering alignment and strategy
- are curious to learn more about the energy and renewables industry
We’ll take good care of you
