OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Working as a key member of the Quality function, the Launch Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring total customer satisfaction by dealing with both internal and external customer concerns promptly, identifying root cause and instigating permanent corrective actions for both day\-to\-day and new model launch activities. The daily duties of the Quality Engineer will include but are not limited to:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Liaising with the customer, suppliers, manufacturing and the program team on build/ quality issues.


• Ensure product meets as a minimum the quality targets at each project gateway, through VB to job 1 measured through MGR.


• Demonstrate the quality of the seats using data e.g. audit results, capability data on all measurable elements of seat construction including component capability.


• Problem resolution (Internal and External).


• New product introduction supports Glide Path timings


• Support for quality deliverables for new model launch


• Global 8D and PPS report writing.


• FMEA and control plan support.


• Facilitating CQSM introduction, internal \& customer sign off.


• Consistently identify opportunities for improvement within the department and record all improvements.


• Providing feedback to the Senior Quality Engineer


• Supporting pre\-production builds, managing LOP list.

Preferred

• Experience in JIT and/or Lean Manufacturing environment


• New Experience

• Seating / Soft trim experience


• Lean/Six Sigma background


• Minitab Experience

• Automotive experience.


• MS Office – Word, Excel


• TS16949 System knowledge.


• Root cause analysis.


• 8D and PPS report writing.


• PPAP experience

Required

• A minimum of a HND or equivalent qualification or experience.
