KS2 Maths and English Tutor - Part Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to join our team in providing educational support to students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in special education, and possess strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and deliver tailored Maths \& English lessons to students up to Key
Beyond Horizons' ethos.
- Assess students’ learning needs, developing and implementing customized teaching
- Provide individualized support to foster strong reading, writing, and
- Create and maintain a positive, engaging, and interactive learning environment that
with the centre’s commitment to engaging and interactive learning.
- Monitor and track students’ progress, adapting teaching methods as needed to
- Collaborate with team members, utilizing the range of resources provided by
- Engage with students' reports to communicate progress and provide strategies for
- Stay updated on curriculum changes and educational best practices to enhance
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and actively
Persons Specification:
- Proven experience in teaching Maths \& English, up to Key stage 2 level, and
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar, writing, and
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a demonstrable ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Knowledge of curriculum standards, assessment methods, and a commitment to
- Flexibility and adaptability in teaching methods, with strong organizational and
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Ability to work in a structured learning environment and contribute positively to
Qualifications:
\- Previous experience working with children, especially in special education settings
\- Strong communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues effectively
\- Proficient in tutoring techniques and able to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
\- A passion for helping students achieve their academic goals through personalised support

Pay: £14\.00\-£25\.00 per hour
