Kitchen Porter & Warehouse Assistant 4am start

Humdingers Catering Ltd is looking for a reliable and hardworking Bakery \& Warehouse Assistant to join our busy catering operation in Hoxton, London.

This is a hands\-on role supporting our warehouse, bakery and logistics teams. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, takes initiative and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed.

The role would suit someone who enjoys physical work, can work independently and is looking to grow within a fast\-paced catering business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with bakery product packing and preparation for daily deliveries


• Washing and organising catering equipment, trays and delivery crates


• Assisting with warehouse organisation and cleanliness


• Receiving, checking and putting away deliveries


• Preparing and loading orders for daily deliveries


• Supporting bakery and warehouse teams during busy periods


• Assisting with stock counts and stock organisation


• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and organisation


• General warehouse and operational duties as required

What We're Looking For:

• Reliable and punctual


• Positive attitude and willingness to learn


• Comfortable working independently and using initiative


• Able to perform physical work and heavy lifting


• Good attention to detail


• Previous warehouse, kitchen porter, bakery or catering experience beneficial but not essential


• UK driving licence desirable but not essential

Hours:

• 30\-40 hours per week depending on business needs


• Regular 4:00am starts are an essential part of the role


• Some weekend work required on a rota basis

Important:
Applicants must be able to reliably travel to Hoxton, London N1 for 4:00am starts.

Training will be provided; however, we are looking for someone proactive who is comfortable learning on the job, taking ownership of their responsibilities and supporting the wider team where needed.
