Kitchen Porter

The Bond Hotel is a family run hotel set on the south shore of Blackpool providing fully accessible holidays for guests who may have a physical or learning disability for over 35 years. We are the UK’s largest disability friendly hotel.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our kitchen team. We need hardworking and confident individuals who take great pride in their work, with high standards of cleanliness and great attention to detail.

Work patterns are based on split shifts, working 4 days on 4 days off on a 7 day rota, this includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays, so you must be flexible. Morning shifts will generally be 8:30am \- 11:30am/12pm, and Evening shifts will be 4pm/4:30pm \- 8:00pm. Finish times on each shift may vary dependant on the businesses needs.

Job Description

Job title: Kitchen porter

Main purpose of job:

Wash pots, pans, dishes and all other crockery and utensils as required to a high standard. Store kitchenware and crockery safely once clean. Assist the kitchen team with any prep and deliveries. Keep the kitchen clean to a high standard.

Position reports to:

Chef / Duty Manager

Location: The Bond Hotel

Salary: £10\.00 \- £12\.71 per hour

Responsibilities:
\- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen staff
\- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
\- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware
\- Empty trash bins and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
\- Stock and organize supplies in the kitchen
\- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
\- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
\- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications:
\- Previous experience in a culinary or food preparation role is preferred but not required
\- Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment and utensils
\- Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment
\- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
\- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
\- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Types: Full\-time, Part\-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: £10\.70\-£12\.71 per hour
