Position Overview:UniCredit Invest Lux S.A. offers a position as Junior Risk Manager, currently part of its Risk Management Function.
The role requires close coordination with independent provider(s), Fund Administrators, delegated Investment Managers, and internal trading desks to maintain a robust valuation control framework aligned with UCITS, AIFMD and Luxembourg regulatory standards.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Risk Department in the risk management process for tradable and alternative assets (e.g. Fund of Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate, Private Debt, …),
- Assisting and participating in risk identification, measurement, monitoring, and reporting (for market, liquidity, credit, counterparty, and operational risks notably but also any other risks),
- Collaborating/assisting in various project focused on Risk Management (qualitative and quantitative), regulatory changes (e.g. CSSF Circulars, ESMA Guidelines and recommendations, …) and counterparty due diligence process,
- Conducting risk profiling and risk limit system assessment,
- Assessing investment compliance (e.g. with applicable regulations, legal documentation, eligibility, …) and adherence to established risk profiles,
- Liaising with internal and/or external parties on risk management aspects,
- Undertaking ad hoc research on risk management practices and/or on specific economic subjects,
- Validation of valuation prices, risk indicators and value\-at\-risk scenarios,
- Support the department with NAV Oversight activity and its approval, as costs and charges assessment and handling,
- Non\-Financial risk controlling,
- Preparation of reports within the framework of legal and other applicable requirements,
- Supporting the Risk Department with the different tasks assigned to it, including on ad hoc basis,
- Contributing also to activities peripheral and/or ancillary to those contained in the description of the role
What you'll need to succeed
- Educational background: Master’s degree in finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in risk management in Luxembourg
- Basic knowledge of regulations: Understanding of UCITS and/or AIFM frameworks.
- Analytical skills: Strong numerical and analytical mindset with good command of Excel (formulas, data analysis).
- Technical curiosity: Interest in risk tools and data handling; basic Python or similar is a plus.
- Attention to detail \& rigor: Ability to work accurately in a controlled and regulatory\-driven environment, even under pressure.
- Soft skills: Proactive, eager to learn, and able to operate in a small team with broad responsibilities.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
