Junior Project Engineer
OCFPM is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to support a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, retail, office, and mixed‑use developments while gaining hands‑on experience in all stages of project delivery. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers, contributing to successful project outcomes and developing your technical and professional skills.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects from early concept through completion
- Assist in developing project design programmes and tracking progress
- Contribute to design reviews by gathering information, preparing materials, and documenting feedback
- Support day‑to‑day communication with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Help ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Prepare technical documentation and assist in monthly project reporting
- Collaborate with senior team members to resolve project issues and maintain project momentum
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related field
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Good technical and analytical skills with a willingness to learn
- Fluent in English
- Full driving licence
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with BCAR or similar regulatory frameworks
- Knowledge of building, housing, or fire services regulations
- Previous exposure to construction or engineering projects through work placements, internships, or junior roles
- Experience working within the UK or Irish construction environment
