Junior Design Engineer

The Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Design Engineer to join our team within the lift industry. This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical or engineering background to develop their design skills, working closely with customers, architects and project teams. Full training will be provided, with the role offering excellent opportunities to gain experience across the full lift design process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with pre and post sales order, technical details including assessing access, builders work and H\&S requirement's
- Understanding, interpreting and integrating architectural and technical building drawings and information and incorporates within a coordinated working design
- General Arrangement drawings with an awareness of timescales and deadlines in respect of customer requirements, recording design process on company software systems
- To ensure the customer understands the General Arrangement drawings through to full approval
- Attending design meetings to liaise with customers, architects and project designers
- Checking company lift procurement software to ensure the requirements are fully aligned with approved drawings and specifications
- Requesting factory drawings and checks against the approved design
- Full training will be provided

What We’re Looking For
- Right to Work in the UK (mandatory)
- Degree qualified or equivalent, ideally with a Mechanical Engineering background
- Good practical understanding of AutoCAD or similar drawing software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge or experience of building design would be an advantage
- A practical, detail\-oriented approach with a willingness to learn and develop
- Right to Work in the UK (mandatory)
