Due to consistent business growth and upcoming projects, Hopkins Coats Associates now has a vacancy for Junior Engineer. We are looking for a self\-motivated and enthusiastic college leaver to join our Team as a Junior Building Services Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands on experience in the construction and engineering industry while being supported through further education at university.

About the Role

As a Junior, you will work alongside experienced engineers on a range of projects, helping to design, install, and maintain essential building systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), electrical systems, and public health services.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting with the design and planning of building services systems

  • Supporting site inspections and project delivery

  • Learning to use industry\-standard engineering software

  • Working with senior engineers and project teams

  • Attending university on a day\-release

What We’re Looking For
  • A recent college leaver (A\-levels or equivalent), ideally in Maths, Physics, or Engineering

  • Strong interest in engineering and the built environment

  • Good problem\-solving and communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally

  • Commitment to studying towards a degree in Building Services Engineering

Desirable
  • Ideally, the Junior Engineer will have a full UK driving licence with use of their own car. This may be used for transportation with the Engineers or Partners for site visits, progress meetings, sites surveys and dropping of documents, with mileage reimbursement for company travel.

Working hours and location
  • The job shall be office based with working hours of 08:30\-17:00 Monday to Friday. Occasionally working outside of these hours may be required.
