Joinery CAD Technician/Designer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joinery CAD Technician/Designer to join our dynamic team on a temporary basis for approximately 10 weeks.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating high\-quality technical drawings for items such as large volume bespoke hotel bedroom furniture to one\-off complex joinery items such are bars, reception counters, and bespoke seating. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external interior designers, builders and fit\-out companies to deliver precise technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create accurate and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD.


• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to interpret client specifications and translate them into practical, functional designs.


• Organise and manage CAD files and technical documentation, ensuring traceability and clarity across all projects.


• Liaise with production and sales teams to ensure designs align with site requirements, product specifications, cost estimates, and client expectations.


• Conduct technical reviews of designs, resolving any issues related to measurements, materials, or installation processes.


• Visit client sites to conduct surveys and take precise measurements/gather information and ensure design accuracy.


• Design hotel bedroom furniture ranges, seating, and bespoke joinery items such as bars.

Requirements

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Previous experience in furniture design and technical joinery is essential, ideally for the contract market.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise, drawings to a high level of detail.

Excellent problem\-solving skills and a proactive, positive attitude.

Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal staff and external architects, designers, and builders.

Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.

Job Type: Temporary (approximately 10 weeks)

Pay: Salary dependent on experience and agreed working hours
