This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic IT professional looking to develop their skills in a varied and dynamic environment.
Beebug provides IT support and technology solutions to schools across Hertfordshire, North London and the surrounding areas. We work closely with our customers, becoming an extension of their team and helping them get the very best from their technology.
We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our growing team, providing both remote and onsite support to our customers. You'll be based from our St Albans office and regularly visit customer sites, most of which are within approximately an hour of the office.
More than just technical skills
For us, being a great IT Support Engineer isn't just about knowing the technology.
Our engineers work directly with teachers, school staff and other users with a wide range of technical abilities. Being approachable, patient and able to explain things clearly is every bit as important as being able to solve the problem.
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, takes ownership of problems and takes pride in providing a genuinely first\-rate service.
The Role
You'll work as part of our wider technical team, with support from experienced colleagues whenever you need it. Your day could involve anything from resolving everyday user issues to installing and configuring new equipment or helping deliver larger IT projects.
The role will include:
- Providing onsite IT support to schools and other customers
- Providing remote support from our St Albans helpdesk
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, network and connectivity issues
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Windows environments

- Helping to deliver IT installations, upgrades and projects
- Building strong relationships with the schools and staff you support
- Working alongside the wider Beebug technical team to resolve more complex issues
- Taking ownership of customer issues and requests through to resolution
- Maintaining the high standard of customer service our customers expect from Beebug
You don't need to know everything and we don't expect you to.
We're looking for someone with a good foundation in IT who wants to learn and develop. We'll provide on\-the\-job training, support and exposure to a broad range of technologies.
