Job Title: IT Manager

Hours: Full Time (37\.5 hours per week)

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Leicestershire

Reporting to: Technical Director

Salary: £40,000 \- £45,000 Based on Experience

The Company

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a project manager in a busy and growing company. You will join our fully integrated, full\-service event agency (Premier Events)

Established in 2009, the company has grown rapidly; we employ 55 people and have a turnover of over £10m.

Our clients are global brands who look for us to provide them with exceptionally high\-quality event scenery, display items and exhibition stands.

The Role

Reporting to our Technical Director, you will be responsible for IT across the business.

This isn’t a role where you’ll be buried in a server room. You’ll be visible, involved, and genuinely part of the team. One day you might be sorting a laptop for a new starter, the next you’re helping us hit our ISO 27001 targets or making sure our Microsoft 365 tenant is running the way it should. It’s a varied job, and that’s exactly the point.

What you’ll be doing

Cybersecurity \& Reliability

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures in line with company standards

  • Manage risk, backups, and business continuity

  • Ensure systems are patched, protected, and monitored appropriately

  • Respond to incidents and support resolution where required
Infrastructure \& Systems
  • Support and maintain IT infrastructure across devices, networks, and cloud services

  • Administer Microsoft 365, including user management, configuration, and troubleshooting

  • Manage user accounts, access, and device setup

  • Look after our on\-site servers and keep infrastructure healthy

  • Keep our network in good shape (we run UniFi access points across site)

  • Manage and maintain our VoIP phone system

  • Manage our AI tooling, including Claude Enterprise, and help the team get the most from it

  • Maintain documentation and system standards
Hands\-On IT Support
  • Be the first port of call for the team when something goes wrong

  • Set up and deploy PCs, laptops, and mobile devices

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues

  • Support printers, phones, and office equipment

  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes

  • Ensure IT assets are tracked and maintained
Applications \& Systems
  • Support business applications and coordinate with third\-party providers

  • Help users make effective use of systems and tools

  • Support the IT elements of our ISO 27001 programme alongside the wider team
What we’re looking for

Essential experience

  • Experience in a senior IT support, IT Manager, or similar role

  • Strong hands\-on technical background in a Windows and Mac environment

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, day\-to\-day admin and support

  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and good practice

  • Experience supporting end\-user devices, networking basics, and general office IT

  • Comfortable managing infrastructure including servers and cloud services

  • Ability to take ownership and make sound decisions
The kind of person you are

You’ve got the technical skills, but more than that, you’re a good person to have around. You’ll be part of a busy, people\-focused business. The team will come to you when things break, and sometimes when things aren’t even broken. You stay calm, you sort it, and you don’t make people feel daft for asking.

  • Approachable and service\-focused

  • Comfortable being hands\-on and visible within the business

  • Practical, solutions\-oriented mindset

  • Strong communicator with non\-technical users

  • Organised and able to balance competing priorities
What we can offer you
  • £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience

  • An annual holiday allowance of 22 days \+ Bank Holidays

  • Earn an additional day's holiday for each full year of employment (Max 25\)

  • Company\-wide bonus scheme based on your performance

  • We buy you lunch every other Friday you're in the office

  • Perkbox with 120 flexi points per month

  • Social Committee with regular team outings

  • Company pension scheme

  • Successful Candidates will be subject to a DBS check and require the right to work in the UK.
