IT Business Analyst – Hospitality Operations

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Business Analyst specialising in Hospitality Operations to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Analyse business needs and translate them into technical specifications for hospitality operations projects.


• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, and other data visualisation tools to support operational decision\-making.


• Manage project lifecycle activities in accordance with SDLC principles, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.


• Design, develop, and optimise databases using Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQL scripting to ensure data integrity and accessibility.


• Perform comprehensive data analysis using R, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and other programming languages to identify trends and insights.


• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, create process models with Visio, and facilitate effective communication across teams.


• Support database design efforts to improve data collection processes aligned with business needs.


• Assist in the development of business analysis documentation and project management plans.


• Ensure all solutions adhere to organisational standards for security, compliance, and quality assurance.

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the hospitality or related sectors.


• Strong proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), SQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.


• Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies and project management principles.


• Excellent business analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets into clear insights.


• Experience in database design and optimisation techniques.


• Demonstrated ability to develop visualisations that communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.


• Familiarity with Visio for process modelling and documentation purposes.


• Strong analytical skills complemented by excellent communication and organisational abilities.


• Relevant qualifications or certifications in Business Analysis or Data Management are desirable.
