IT Business Analyst

The Agile IT Business Analyst gathers, understands and communicates requirements for our technology\-based projects that meet the needs of our customers and donors. The analyst is a key member of the User Engagement Team that provide business analysis and user experience (UX) skills. They work on existing and new products across multiple business units, usually following an Agile methodology. The analyst collaborates with experienced engineers, analysts, designers and product owners to create elegant, effective and efficient products.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with product owners and project managers to identify high\-level requirements, helping to support and maintain comprehensive project backlogs across multiple streams of work
- Gather, understand and document business requirements through workshops, stakeholder interviews and data analysis
- Communicate business and technical requirements verbally, in writing and visually
- Understand product visions and help product owners to ensure the team’s understanding of those visions, requirements and acceptance criteria
- Create and refine effective Agile stories and acceptance criteria
- Identify and document risks and issues, working with the development team to resolve them Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Work collaboratively with UX designers and other analysts to support the creation and iteration of prototypes and wireframes to solve the real\-world problems our users face
- Build long\-term, strategic relationships with our stakeholders across multiple business units
- Support the User Experience Experience Lead to continually evolve and improve the teams ability to support CABI
