Internship \- Sustainable Production – Cleaning \& Disinfection at HEINEKEN Global Procurement

The internship
We are offering an internship opportunity for a proactive and detail\-oriented individual to join our Sustainable Production team and contribute to process improvement, contractual service level tracking and governance improvement initiatives. This role directly supports HEINEKEN’s strategic sustainability agenda, with a strong focus on water stewardship and supplier engagement across our 180\+ global production sites. You will work closely with cross\-functional teams to streamline workflows, ensure compliance with policies and standards, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our Sustainable Production Department.
During this internship, you will work on the following:
- Process Improvement: map existing processes, identify bottlenecks, recommend improvements for supplier performance tracking, and perform internal and external analysis to generate opportunity proposals.
- Governance Support \& Sustainable Production Fundamentals: support governance frameworks and compliance initiatives, prepare reports on process performance, analyse category spend, update Power BI dashboards, and support KPI tracking including the Water Acceleration Project.
- Cross\-Functional Collaboration \& Contract Management: work with the Sustainable Production Water department and Operating Companies to drive solutions, collaborate on water reduction projects, and support contract management including Quarterly Review Meeting actions.
The Sustainable Production team consists of 13 people, focusing on Net Zero and sustainable energy as well as water reduction, supported by the Cleaning \& Disinfection Category. You will be part of a passionate team that plays a major role in driving HEINEKEN’s water and cost reduction targets, especially in water\-stressed sites. We operate in a fast\-paced, global environment with strong links to HEINEKEN’s Brew a Better World strategy, integrating eco\-friendly solutions into production processes across our 180\+ global sites.

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong interest in sustainable production and environmental conservation, with an eagerness to learn and take on new challenges in a dynamic global setting.
Conditions of HEINEKEN
- You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
+ In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
+ You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
+ You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).
Our Internship Conditions
During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we brew your future step by step. In addition, we offer you:
- A full\-time practice\-oriented internship, starting on September 1, 2026
- The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
- Your home office will be located in The Base, Schiphol, Amsterdam
- At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
- You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40\-hour workweek
- You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full\-time internship)
- If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
