Internal Sales Executive
About the Role
Reporting to the Internal Sales Team Leader the internal sales executive will be pivotal in driving sales growth through the electrical wholesale and merchant business channel. The Internal Sales Executive will be responsible for managing a sales territory of existing and generating new sales via internal customer database.
The focus of the role will be to generate sales from pre\-determined existing, lapsed and non\-spending customers who stock or facilitate contractors dealing with ventilation projects.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Cleanse and build a productive ordering customer database while generating new customer sales
· Utilise existing relationships and terms agreements in place to increase sales through new and lapsed customers to generate sales
· Facilitate incoming enquiries from customers where no external sales are assigned, and set up trading terms accordingly
· To build effective relationships with potential clients and existing customers by using appropriate questioning.
· Engage and interact with client decision makers to identify new and emerging business opportunities. Establish an informal rapport with customers to obtain market intelligence
· Achieve sales turnover budgets/targets agreed for the activity (exceeding these levels whenever possible) adhering to company policies on discount procedures.
· In all instances where pricing levels need to exceed your authority levels prior approval must be sought from the Internal Sales Team Leader.
· Researching key areas targeted for growth by the business via dedicated construction sales lead platforms, social media, Online Search and general prospecting.
· Working with an existing pipeline of leads, you will be responsible for nurturing and growing this via the channels outlined.
· Review sales performance monthly against target and provide accurate sales forecasts via a monthly report.
· Targeted monthly to achieve invoiced sales, outbound calls and appointments made
· Achieve agreed monthly sales target for wholesaler and merchant customers
· Expected minimum of 40 outbound calls per day connecting with external customers
· On occasion some travel to shows, and customers will be required

- Demonstrable track record of new sales business generation within B2B or B2C in an outbound call role
- Demonstrable ability to meet KPIs and follow sales budget \& forecasts
- Demonstrable previous experience in an targeted role
- Previous CRM and Sales Database Management
- Excellent rapport and relationship building skills

Salary £25,000 \- £28,000 plus Bonus
Holiday 28 days plus bank holidays (total 33 days)
